Fallout New California Kira Companion

I really wish that in Chapter 1, you woke up to go on your first mis...sion as a Wasteland Scout and the Vault didn't blow up until later in the game (like the mid-game).It's always bothered me that you couldn't get outside, go on some adventures, then come back to the intrigue as it breaks out having met real Enclave outside while doing the first two missions to Union City or the Raiders. That way you had more of an investment and relationship with V18, and could return to it as a kind of player home. Ideally, this would allow the player to leave Vault 18 right after character creation with little to no in-between, unless desired. Then you could come and go as you please in a more open world format. The amount of new voices and writing (and re-voicing) would kill the mod though. Even with all the new volunteers and team members, we pretty much have just barely enough to overhaul the companions one last time and then call it quits. So while a narrative mistake and shortcoming, it was a tactical good call. Because even with the massive cut in content destroying the Vault early, the rest of the mod was still too much while everyone quit except the core two and our voice actors, with rare contributions to improve things along the way. I'm still enjoying writing the last content expansion. It's tough work but it's going to make the mod more balanced in tone and maturity for the last leg of its development cycle, addressing most of the primary concerns players had in your feedback. There is a mod I'm privately BETA testing that makes gun-play in New Vegas good. Like, actually satisfying. Just like any modding system, it's going to be hellish complicated, and a lot of people will never get to enjoy it just because of the Jenga tower of individual mod pages you have to visit and install to build it up, and do it right. The mod will go:NVSEJIP LN NVSEENB SeriseRudy ENB v 330 (set fps delimiter to 124)Vanilla SprintGrenade HotkeyImmersive Indigestible VisualsStealth and Cover OverhaulBleedNPC Reaction and AI Cover OverhaulB42 InertiaLive DismembermentAsurahs Animations And a mod that's currently private which replaces all vanilla guns with modern AAA assets and audio.FNC's last balance patch for 1.0 will also mean it slots together just fine. All together it makes combat in this old engine similar to Far Cry 4 (dated, still, but so, so much better.)It's a great time for FNC to go to 1.0, since these new updates will get the game looking and playing more amazing than ever before.See more

Fallout New California Walkthrough

The gradual process of replacing an entire character and expanding t...hem into the void where there was no content is not to be taken lightly. Everything you do as a creative in life requires sacrifice. It could just be time. Could be money. Your health. Paths in life that could have gone another way. But the most thing important to burn in that altar's fire is our past decisions. Mistakes. Attachments to things that should have been taken care of a long time ago. Things set in stone by procrastination and anxiety. Always be willing to tear out something that was 'done' but not good enough, and you know it. You get complacent with yourself and it'll bite you harder than anything else. You can't win them all. But you can't afford to lose either. So when you know that something will be hard and costly to redo, always, always, do it again. You'll be happier, prouder, and it'll be better. Revisions and iterations are important. Don't skip 'em. Can't just keep doing the same things forever, but you have to know when to just take one on the chin, and when you're just being lazy.See more
