Skyrim Oblivion Gate Mod

Update February 3, 2017: Skyblivion has come a long way since the last trailer, released in December 2016, so the team are showing that progress off with another new video, embedded above.

The team say that they’ve made more progress in the past two months than in the entire year of development preceding it.

That’s because loads of new volunteers has pledged their swords to the project following all the media coverage generated off the back of the last trailer.
There are now more weapon sets, the 3D environments team has created a bunch more assets to shape the world, there’s been more work done on the vasts landscapes of Cyrodiil, and the UI is being worked on to make it authentically Oblivion.
These gates add a touch of uniqueness to the mod, and pay what I believe is an homage to TES4:Oblivion as one of the best games of its time. They are not active portals and nor are they eyesores. They're not even in your way.' If you enjoy the open cities mod and don't want the gates there's this mod that removes all of them for you.

Update November 9, 2016:Skyblivion just go a lovely new trailer showing off a remastered Cyrodiil. It’s come a long way, as you can see in the video embedded above.
Work on the base game is actually complete, so now it’s just a case of implementing the quests, voice acting, scripting, 3D/re-modeling new assets, making an Oblivion inspired user interfaceand finishing all the weapon and armor sets, along with squashing any bugs that might pop up once all of that’s in there. Phew. Probably not all the bugs though, eh? We want it to be as we remember it, right?
This trailer signifies a year of the team’s hard work. If you’re familiar with scripting or creating 3D assets, you can volunteer on the project at that link.
Original Story October 14, 2016: It’s not just Morrowind getting the mod remaster treatment thanks to the Skyrim engine, as now Oblivion is also being updated by a group of talented modders. Well, the same group of talented modders, actually: the TESRenewal team.
This mod will bring all the quests from Oblivion into the Skyrim engine, along with the Cyrodiil map and all the DLC.
The mod will feature new textures and custom models, but it will use the vanilla animations, as they currently don’t have an animator on the team. This could change, however, as they’re calling for helpers in the video description. You can watch the trailer here:
It’s not even nearly done yet, but when it is released, the creators plan to make it work with both normal Skyrim and the upcoming Skyrim Special Edition. The installer will also check that you have a copy of Oblivion in your library, as otherwise it’d be piracy, essentially.

This is my first mod that I'm deciding to release once I have the features put together. For an easier read I've broken down what you need to know:
What does this mod do?
The mod does much more than just adds a new race. It uses Dremora assets as a base but does not replace them. What you have here is a unique, lore-friendly race that comes equipped with several scripted spells, abilities, and superior gameplay for those seeking a more interesting play-through instead of prancing around saving the world. You will be able to travel to your first original plane of oblivion entitled the 'Jaws of Oblivion' -basically purgatory. This is the level where you obtain your familiarity with Oblivion as a character and learn your first set of powers.
What are it's features?
You can customize your own Daedric Prince through a variety of options and summon Daedric minions of varying ranks (Churl, Caitiff, etc.), and varying roles (Mage, Archer, Warrior). Your Daedric Prince will gain power as you wreak havoc across Tamriel. You can Summon a full suit of Daedric Armor (Thats right Summon it) and Open the dormant gates of Oblivion that has been sealed shut in the 3rd Era. I plan to add a feature to enslave NPCs and add them to your very own Plane of Oblivion! You gain these powers through 'Energy Veils' that have been set up in the Oblivion planes. The first few are free, the next few will require diligence. Not a problem for a Daedric Prince!
How long will it take?
There's no time frame I'm setting for this but progress is coming fast, I've gotten pretty good at this stuff and I'm currently making models for the Oblivion Planes and Gates to Oblivion. For now This page will be a placeholder for something that will get much bigger in due time. Enjoy this play-test video if you care:

- Finishing touches on oblivion realm. The spells must be gained through the progression system.
- Progression system fixed (Unreleased however)
- Basic Intro spells properly introduced. Will add to the progression system as I expand the oblivion plane.
- Every Update will feature a new Oblivion Plane.
- First Plane finally NavMeshed, LOD'd, scripted, and mapped.
- Just need NPCs, dialogues, and quests and it's all set!
Update 3
- I'm baaacck! Lots of things introduced, Tree LODs, fixed summon spells, leveled spells, Quest Scripts, fixed map.
- Polished Oblivion Realm.
- Ready to start next Oblivion Realm.
- Will probably begin modeling.
