How To Move Netflix Downloads To Sd Card
Streaming entertainment website, Netflix has now announced that they will be doing what rival YouTube has been allowing for long — offline videos. Yes, Netflix will now be allowing its users to download videos for watching offline. The feature is a hit with YouTube since not all users get the privilege of high-speed and cheap internet/data connection. So the best practice is to download the movie/video when using a public Wi-Fi or a home internet Wi-Fi where the internet connection is relatively cheaper.
Netflix has also announced that they will allow users to download the movies to their local storage or SD cards. The feature is not a new addition — Netflix had enabled this feature earlier; however, the download was only restricted to the internal storage, and you could not download it to the external storage or SD card. With puny storage options provided by smartphone companies, a 16GB or 32GB storage smartphone is almost filled with the user’s music list and photos. Using an SC card is the only option to store large-sized data and videos.
Open Settings from the Start Menu. Click on System. Click on Storage in the left menu. You should see your SD card or other drive listed along with your internal drive. Select your SD card or other drive in the 'New apps will save to' option under Save locations. Now you can download Netflix content to your SD card. To move Netflix content to your SD cards just select the new Downloads Location option that appears in the app settings. There you can set the downloads to go into your internal device memory or onto your SD card. In that same section you’ll see the available space in each place. Where is Netflix downloading shows to on Windows 10? What's not answered at all however is the following: where are the movies and TV show episodes that you download from Netflix stored? This may not be a question that you are interested in if you have plenty of disk space on your c: drive, but if storage on that drive is limited, you may not.
Now that Netflix has enabled the option to download to SD card, users will be able to download watch their videos later. However, if you are using the Netflix app, you will have to head to the settings and enable the option for external storage as the default location for downloading the streaming movie is on the internal storage. Do note: The movies may be downloadable, but they cannot be transferred to any other storage as they will not function as a regular MP4 or MKV format movie or video file.

While the option to download content for offline viewing is a welcome one, being limited to the internal storage on your mobile device can prove to be rather annoying. Because most of us don’t have masses of space available for downloads. Now, at least on Android, that’s no longer an issue.
A Cavalcade of Caveats
The latest version of the Netflix app on Android adds a “Download Location” option. This lets you “control where to save downloaded content,” and you can choose between “Internal Storage” and “SD Card”. Unfortunately, Netflix adds that this feature is “not available on all devices”.

There are some other caveats too. Although you can download content to multiple SD cards, there are limits on the amount of content you can download simultaneously. Downloads will also only remain accessible for a limited time, expiring after a set period.
You also can’t suddenly start pirating Netflix content. Anything you download contains DRM preventing that content from being played on anything other than the device to which it was originally downloaded. And .nfv files won’t play in anything other than the Netflix app.
